Richard Rodriguez on PBS
I always admired Richard Rodriguez, thanks to my English teacher's introduction of the book Hunger of Memory my junior or senior year of high school. Watching today's News Hour with Jim Lehrer, I found this outstanding Mexican American writer establishing correlations between the 'lost boys' in Africa and Mumbai to those in our own country. One more reason why I love PBS, they bring those models that I've only read about into life.

Senior Thesis Presentation
This is my attempt not only to procrastinate, but also maintain my sanity through the upcoming weeks. Tomorrow I present on my sr. thesis about teenage pregnancy and despite my best efforts to stay on top of the game, I fail to keep my head above water. Nonetheless after enduring the criticisms of my advisors during my practice presentation I decided to reward myself with one episode of Grey's and three episodes of The Office.
It's scary to think that in little less than a month, I'm done with ND. Even though ND will never be done with me. As much as I'm going to miss some aspects of it, walking through the South quad wind tunnel will not be one of them.
Today we watched a video about the Via Crucis in my Latino Spirituality class. As gruesome as it was, it made me happy to think that I'd be home for spring celebrations. Maybe I can get my younger brothers interested in the church, maybe just a little.
For the first and last time I will write everything I have to turn in between now and Dec. 20. I'm hoping that as I finish up one assignment I can post up my joy and celebration as well as fears about the pending ones.
